Additional UI Features
Apart from the core features covered in the ‘Guide’ section, Built.io Backend provides some quick features that can be used through the user interface to perform various actions. Let’s look at these features in detail.
Object UI Specifications
Context Menu
There are three ways to carry out actions (edit, export, and delete) on an object.
- Select the object by checking the check-box. This will display the available actions above the object table. You can then use the required action.
- Right click on any object available in the class table. This will list out the actions that you can perform on that class. Select the required action.
- Click the ellipses icon (three vertical dots) available at the extreme right-hand side of the object row. This will show the actions that you can perform on an object. Select the required action.
Object List View
User can edit the fields that are displayed in object-list table directly from within the table.
Class UI Specification
Display option
If this is set to true, the respective field will be displayed in the object’s table in object-list-page.
Title option
If this is set to true and if the respective class is referred in an another class, then while creating an object of the other class, in the reference field the referred object will have its name set to the title of the field, else it will be set to uid of the referred object.

ACL UI Specification
Indeterminate State
In the ACL configuration page, the user can set the permissions of actions (read, write, edit, delete) by setting the value to true, false or indeterminate state. Indeterminate state (represented by (-)) denotes that the value is not defined yet. It is neither true nor false.
Upload UI Specification

- Select upload by checking the check-box. This will display the available actions above the uploads table. You can then use the required action.
- Right click on any upload available in the uploads table. This will list out the actions that you can perform on that upload. Select the required action.
- Click the ellipses icon (three vertical dots) available at the extreme right-hand side of the upload row. This will show the actions that you can perform on an upload. Select the required action.
